Saw this on the first performance - 30th August. All the young inexperienced cast work hard, but they really struggle to convey sense and meaning from what comes across as meaningless garbage. The show is overlong, and much of it is incoherent - though this may improve with the run - as the direction of the actors is clearly a key fault. There are many budding future stars among the cast, but this vehicle and their valliant attempts to grapple with it, will be likely forgotten, perhaps for the best.
Marks as follows. For the cast 8/10. For the music 5/10. For the band 2/10. For the script 1/10. For the direction 0/10. If any of your £12.50 seat money goes to the cast - then go. If you find out they get nothing, and they have to chalk all their hard work up to the experience of someone else earning at their expense, don't go.
