With the evenings drawing in, what could be more pleasant on a Sunday afternoon than a good old classic film, followed by tea and home-made cake? The Under Ground Theatre has joined the British Film Institute and over the coming months will be showing a selection of classic films from its extensive library.
The UGT has chosen “Funny Face”, from 1957, starring Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire and Kay Thompson. Jo Stockon (Hepburn) is offered a modelling contract, which she begrudgingly accepts. In time, she learns to enjoy the job, and starts to take notice of her handsome photographer.
